NBA Trade Rumors: New York Knicks’ Enes Kanter and Kyle O’Quinn are two players that are drawing interest on the trade block
The New York Knicks have lost 12 of their last 16 games, but, most importantly, with the NBA trade deadline line looming they have to make a decision soon.
They must decide whether they’re going to be buyers or sellers at the deadline, a decision that isn’t as simple as it seems. New York is currently 21-26, three games back of the 8th seed in the Eastern Conference. Do they feel they could make a run with this current team, or by adding a piece or two? Or, will they decide to sell off some of their veteran assets for draft picks and/or young prospects?
It’s a difficult decision to make, especially considering how well the team started off. Although, it’s something that needs to be decided soon. Interestingly, according to ESPN’s Ian Begley, the Knicks are receiving trade interest from Enes Kanter and Kyle O’Quinn, two guys who they could easily move for draft picks.

"[via ESPN]Starting center Enes Kanter and backup center Kyle O’Quinn also have received interest from opposing executives, sources said, with members of the Golden State Warriors among those executives to express interest in 27-year-old big man O’Quinn."
If the Knicks elected to sell off its veteran assets, Kanter and O’Quinn would virtually be gone. Another name that would likely be subjected to a trade would be Courtney Lee. Begley also notes that Willy Hernangomez is another name that could be moved ahead of next month’s NBA trade deadline.
As an interesting tidbit in the article, it’s believed that the Knicks aren’t willing to move draft picks at the deadline nor are they willing to take on other “bad” contracts in order to bring in an “impact” player. One such as Kemba Walker.

If that’s the case, it’s almost safe to assume that Kemba – or any other big splash type of player on the trade market – would likely be out of the reach for the Knicks.
