NBA Rumors: Jason Kidd reportedly wanted out of Milwaukee when he was fired and was eyeing the Phoenix Suns coaching job
Since being fired by the Milwaukee Bucks a couple days ago, we’ve heard report after report of how Jason Kidd was alienating some of his players.
In one specific interest, Kidd tried to trade Jabari Parker last season, before he tore his ACL which all but killed any possibility for moving the young, promising forward. However, it’s now being reported that Kidd ulterior motives, even as he continued to coach the Bucks.
According to Gary Woelfel of the Racine Journal Times, Kidd had his eyes on the Phoenix Suns job and wanted out of the Bucks.

Now that’ he’s fired, it’s going to be interesting to see how he attempts to make his way to Phoenix – if they even want him.
"[via Racine Journal Times]Coinciding with the erosion of his influence in the organization, several NBA sources told me Kidd wanted out of Milwaukee and was interested in the head coaching job with the Phoenix Suns."
The Suns fired Earl Watson early into the season, and Jay Triano is currently acting as the team’s interim head coach. Triano has done a fair job with the Suns this season, a team that has already won 17 games this season and will likely finish with more wins than last season.
With that said, there’s no guarantee that the Suns will retain Triano, despite the quality job that he’s done with the very young Phoenix Suns roster.
And after the way that Kidd has exited his last two jobs – the Brooklyn Nets and Milwaukee Bucks – it’s going to be interesting to see if the Suns would even entertain the possibility of hiring Kidd over the summer.
While Kidd showcased bright spots during both his short coaching stints with both the Nets and Bucks, he’s no questioned failed to meet expectations in both situations.

At least part of the reason why he was fired in Milwaukee was because of failing expectations. Will Jason Kidd get another job at coaching in the NBA? Probably, but I’d be extremely surprised if it came within the next two seasons.
