Philadelphia’s glaring weakness is a lack of strong GUARD play.
Head coach of the Sixers Brett Brown has employed the 6-foot-10 Ben Simmons as his starting point guard all season (he wasn’t kidding about that if you haven’t really been paying attention the NBA this season).
Kemba Walker was recently put on the trade block, and while Ben Simmons has looked great as Philly’s lead guard, it couldn’t hurt to add an All-Star guard to play alongside and mentor this young Philly squad.
I think Philly is in win-now mode, and a playoff lineup of Walker-Redick-RoCo-Simmons-Embiid is pretty scary. While Fultz could become a superstar, sometimes you have to make sacrifices.
