Why are the Grizzlies not blowing it up?

Look, I get that the Memphis Grizzlies don’t want to screw with their attendance numbers and their revenue from its fans. I get that. But why on earth is this team electing to bring the same exact team back?

It makes absolutely no sense.

This Grizzlies core has reached its peak, and they have some really bad contracts on their books so there’s really no way for them to improve. Even if Memphis has a best-case scenario season next year, their ceiling is likely a second round playoff team. No matter how healthy they are, they’re still not better than the Golden State Warriors, Houston Rockets, Minnesota Timberwolves or San Antonio Spurs.

This is bad. The Grizzlies should be blowing up this roster; not bringing it back. For some reason, management thinks otherwise.
