2018 NBA Power Rankings: Where every team stands ahead of the trade deadline
21. Utah Jazz (21-28)
Despite the emergence of rookie Donovan Mitchell, it’s safe to assume that the loss of Gordon Hayward is finally taking a toll on the Utah Jazz. This simply wasn’t a team ready to deal with that type of loss.
The extended absence of Rudy Gobert didn’t help, either. Although, the Jazz seem to be falling out of the playoff race at the moment. Barring some unforeseen event, the Jazz will likely finish with a top 10 or 12 pick.
At the trade deadline, they could shop a player like Derrick Favors, who will be an unrestricted free agent during the summer. If they don’t plan on re-signing him, they almost have to move him in the next 10 days.
