NBA Trade Rumors: LA Clippers, Detroit Pistons discussing blockbuster deal centered around Blake Griffin
Stan Van Gundy doesn’t like to stand pat when his team isn’t where he’d like it to be. On cue, he’s making waves days before the NBA trade deadline.
According to ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski, the Detroit Pistons and LA Clippers are discussing a blockbuster deal that would center around Blake Griffin.
As far as specifics go, not much was given. Although, assuming that Blake would be involved, I think it’s safe to say that the Clippers are intent on blowing things up a bit. Or, at the very least, shuffle their roster around.
Earlier today, it was reported that the Pistons would be shopping Avery Bradley ahead of the trade deadline. So, putting two and two together, I think adding Bradley to any hypothetical deal would be a starting point.

To make this trade work, assuming that such deal would only involve these two teams, Tobias Harris or Reggie Jackson would almost likely have to be involved in such deal. There would also likely be some picks involved.
Again, this is just me spitballing right now. If I had to take a shot in the dark, I’d assume something like Avery Bradley, Reggie Jackson and a some young players or picks for Blake Griffin would be the framework of a deal.
Either way, no matter what the Pistons would be dealing, this is huge news. If in fact the Clippers are serious about moving Blake Griffin, the days leading up to the trade deadline are going to be a lot more interesting.
