NBA Trade Rumors: Oklahoma City Thunder interested in Avery Bradley?
NBA Trade Rumors: The Oklahoma City Thunder are reported interested in targeting Avery Bradley ahead of the trade deadline
After appearing to find its footing towards the end of January, in which the team won eight games in a row, the Oklahoma City Thunder have found themselves back at the drawing board.
However, this time, that might have to do more so with the loss of Andre Roberson and less on its big pieces fitting together.
The Thunder have lost three games in a row; Roberson was declared out for the remainder of the season with a ruptured patellar tendon four games ago.

During games in which that Andre Roberson hasn’t been in the lineup, the Oklahoma City Thunder are 6-8. It’s pretty clear that the team is going to miss him, at least to a certain extent, for the remainder of the year. It’s pretty clear that the Thunder need to find some sort of way to find a replacement.
One interesting name that the Thunder have reportedly shown interest in is Avery Bradley, who was just traded to the LA Clippers in a blockbuster deal centered around Blake Griffin.
"[via Washington Post]In the wake of losing Andre Roberson to a ruptured left patellar tendon for the season, the Oklahoma City Thunder have considered one possibility as a replacement: Avery Bradley.Sources say the Thunder have expressed interest in Bradley, who was traded to the Los Angeles Clippers Monday by the Pistons in the blockbuster deal that sent Blake Griffin to Detroit. Ever since that deal took place, there have been rumblings that the Clippers were considering moving on from the 27-year-old guard, who is in the final year of his contract and doesn’t seem likely to fit into their long-term plans."
Bradley has struggled this season during his time with the Detroit Pistons and now Clippers. However, he was once considered one of the better perimeter defenders in the NBA – perhaps that had more to do with him excelling in Brad Stevens’ defensive system and him struggling in Stan Van Gundy’s.
Either way, the bottom line is that the talent and ability is there. Bradley was a good – perhaps even great, depending on who you ask – defender in this league before. Why couldn’t he grow into that role again?
Bradley is a free agent after this season and will likely demand big money on the open market. This is the type of rental that the Thunder should jump at the opportunity at making, assuming it won’t cost them much.

At this point, Bradley might be the best option out there for the Thunder. Problem is, will they be able to afford him? There’s no guarantee that they will.
