The fall of Isaiah Thomas

It’s pretty amazing how far Isaiah Thomas has fallen in less than a year. Last season, Thomas was an NBA MVP frontrunner with the Boston Celtics. He led them to the Eastern Conference Finals before being shut down due to an injury.

Just a few months later, he was traded twice. And most recently as a throw-in piece. Perhaps the worst part of this fall is the fact that Thomas is a free agent after the season. A few months ago, it was almost a forgone conclusion that Thomas was going to get max money. Now, that doesn’t seem possible.

Thomas might end up being bought out by the Lakers before the month is over, and there’s no telling what his value is at the moment on the open market. Sad.
