Stock Down: Eastern Conference contenders

Before the Cavaliers made all of those moves, it seemed that the Eastern Conference Finals was going to be between the Celtics and Raptors but that’s all changed.

The Celtics signed Greg Monroe, who was bought out by Phoenix, and the Raptors traded Bruno Caboclo for Malachi Richardson. Given that the Cavaliers should be better and more focused now, the Raptors and Celtics will have to hope that they have enough to beat Cleveland in a 7-game series.

With the Celtics linked to Tyreke Evans (and could still get him if he gets bought out) and the Raptors rumored to have wanted DeAndre Jordan, both teams must feel like they either have a roster that is capable of winning or that sacrificing their future for now wasn’t worth it. We’ll see.
