The former No. 1 overall pick Markelle Fultz has yet to impress with the Philadelpha 76ers. He’s actually yet to play extended time. However, that isn’t even the biggest issue

Markelle Fultz has suffered from a shoulder injury since the beginning of the season, and really before then. Fultz played the first four games of the season, struggled and the Philadelphia 76ers decided to cast him away on the injury list. The issue with this isn’t directly the injury, but how Philly has handled it.

This is the second top 3 pick they have drafted to be injured for an extended amount of time. Two of them with no prior injury history at all. That is clearly a massive red flag on their health department and athletic trainers.

The other major issue with the injury and the most concerning is that Fultz jump shot looks worse than mine before I switched shooting hands. Which is pretty bad. In the four games he played this season, he shot 50 percent from the free throw line. For a guard, that’s pretty poor.

His jumper just did not look good in general, though. Fast forward to present day, his jumper and jump shot form looks like it has gotten worse. How do we know this even though we haven’t seen him play?

Well, the genius Philadelphia 76ers, in most likely a quest to be relevant, is allowing cameras into Futz’s workouts.

So every time he airballs a jumper, we see it. He misses a free throw? We see it. His form looks off? We see it. Journalists and pretty much everyone who gets into the practices, which is a lot, constantly post Fultz shooting clips. And it looks bad.

The biggest issue besides the fact they’re allowing this to happen is that now when Fultz gets on social media, he is getting killed for the videos. So his confidence at just 19 years old is getting destroyed. Every day.

I’ll be the first to admit that in my eyes, his jumper looks scary bad. I also may have tweeted it myself. However, as a writer and person who covers the NBA, what do you want me to do? If the 76ers are gonna allow people to get access to that type of content, it is going to happen.

Let’s just hope that the Philadelphia 76ers and Markelle Fultz can get on the same page, sooner rather than later. Fultz could still be a very good NBA player, but only time will tell. He also has a lot of catching up to do.
