In this week’s installment of our 2018 NBA Power Rankings, we explore whether the Cleveland Cavaliers, after the trade deadline, have figured it out

Now that the dust has settled from the NBA trade deadline, we’re about to get a pretty good idea as to what teams are really going to be in contention for the NBA title this season.

One team that many assumed would be, but quickly began to fade as the season unfolded, was the Cleveland Cavaliers. Although, after making quite the roster shift before the deadline, Cleveland appears to be back on track.

In the three games since essentially trading Dwyane Wade, Isaiah Thomas, Channing Frye, Iman Shumpert, Jae Crowder and Derrick Rose for Jordan Clarkson, Larry Nance Jr., George Hill and Rodney Hood, the Cavs are unbeaten.

And that stretch included two impressive wins, over the Boston Celtics and Oklahoma City Thunder.

Question is, have the Cleveland Cavaliers figured it out? The sample size is exceptionally small, but they have looked good thus far. We’ll see how long it lasts.

Here is this week’s NBA Power Rankings.
