2018 NBA Power Rankings: Have the Cleveland Cavaliers figured it out?

9. Washington Wizards (33-24)

After losing John Wall to injury, many thought that the Washington Wizards would spiral down the Eastern Conference standings. Instead, the opposite has happened.

Since his absence in the lineup, the Wizards have won 7 of their last 9 games and appear to have rediscovered themselves amid necessity. It was either sink or swim for Washington as soon as it was reported that Wall would be out a few months.

Thus far, the Wizards have responded strongly. I don’t think the Ewing Theory is in effect here, but keep a close eye on this team when Wall returns.
