NBA: Predicting how the 2017-18 season will play out

Gordon Hayward will return for the playoffs

I know Danny Ainge and Brad Stevens have really downplayed this possibility, but I believe when it comes down to it Gordon Hayward will return before the season ends. He is quickly recovering and might be closer than most realize.

The Celtics are really slumping right now, and have lost nine of their last 15 games. This is likely due to their youth catching up with them, and not having another option besides Kyrie Irving – even though Al Horford has been really good this season.

Hayward will make a return, in some form, this season, but won’t have a huge impact for Boston. I still believe Cleveland makes it out of the East.
