With the 2018 McDonald’s All-American game quickly approaching, we take a deep dive into each of this year’s participants

The McDonald’s All-American game is always an exciting game. It combines the future of the college and NBA players into one all star like game. For most fans this is their first in game look at the games future stars.

It’s also a great opportunity to look at and breakdown some of the best NBA prospects of the future. From the 2013 McDonald’s game to the 2016 game about 60 percent of the McDonald’s All-American selections have been drafted. Along with a few more that are in consideration to become draft picks like Jalen Brunson, Grayson Allen, and Allonzo Trier.

It’s worth noting most of these prospects game’s will change in college. With great coaching and elite competition some will thrive and others won’t. Playing the percentages recent history says that at least half of prospects guys will eventually be drafted, so everyone just got the benefit of the doubt.

Here’s a quick breakdown of my first impressions of the McDonald’s All-Americans. They’ll be categorized into players who are almost certainly one and done’s, players who have some potential to be one and done’s, and the rest sorted by their 247 sports composite ranking.
