RJ Barrett, SF, Duke

Composite Ranking: 1

RJ Barrett should head into the college season as the safest pick in the 2019 NBA draft. Along with being most people’s favorite to be the number one overall selection, he’s a proven player against great competition. Winning the gold medal for Canada at the U19 World Championships against the United States.

Barrett is a very complete player that can rebound, defender, and pass extremely well. His biggest question will be how does he score in the NBA. He can use his frame and explosive athleticism to score at the rim in transition.

However, Barrett needs to prove that he has a consistent jump shot and can find other ways to score. Especially if he wants to live up to all the hype surrounding him.
