Charlotte Hornets

Burning Question: Are they trading Kemba Walker or not?

The Charlotte Hornets, depending on who you’re willing to believe, were shopping Kemba Walker ahead of the NBA trade deadline. However, shortly after it leaked, Michael Jordan was quick to shoot down all of those rumors.

The team had no interest in trading Kemba, he said.

Now, though, they need to get serious. Are they going to move him and attempt a new rebuild or not? If so, they need to move him during the summer. Since his contract expires after next season, it’ll be difficult to max out on his trade value at next year’s trade deadline.

And while trading Kemba might not be a popular move, it might be the one move that gets them something significant back.
