2018 NBA Mock Draft 2.0: Michael Porter Jr., DeAndre Ayton top the class
By Connor Harr
13. Utah Jazz: Troy Brown SG/SF Oregon
Big Board Rank: 15
The Utah Jazz should probably tried to trade this pick down for a later first round. However, adding trades into a mock draft is just trying to do way too much, so I’m going to have the Jazz select Troy Brown. Donovan Mitchell has a usage rate of any rookie and one of the top in the NBA at 28.7.
Therefore, the Jazz select Troy Brown to be a ball handler on the wing, and become a player that can take some of the workload off Donovan Mitchell. What I do like about this fit is Brown can be brought along slowly in Utah. The Jazz have Jae Crowder, Alec Burks, and Thabo Sefolosha under contract for two more years. Along with Joe Ingles for 4 years, and the emergence of Royce O’Neal as a decent rotation player.
