NBA Rumors: The Philadelphia 76ers have unofficially begun its recruitment of LeBron James, as a Philly-based company sends a message in Cleveland

The Philadelphia 76ers want LeBron James, and they want Cleveland to know.

In an attempt to “Complete The Process” the Sixers are reportedly expected to target LeBron James and selling him as being the final piece of the puzzle for the franchise. And they’ve (un)officially begin their recruitment of LeBron James in the way of billboards.

A Philadelphia-based company bought three billboards in Cleveland targeting LeBron James. The billboards featured the phrases, “Philly Wants LeBron” and “Complete The Process.”

The Sixers, along with another handful of teams, are expected to be in hot pursuit of LeBron James this summer. When it comes down to it, though, I feel like there are only a handful of teams that have a real shot at landing The King.

And depending on who you ask, one of them may or may not be the Sixers.

The Houston Rockets and Cleveland Cavaliers, potentially with one of the LA teams mixed in, appear to be the favorites at this point.

However, as often is the case with LeBron James, you never really know.

No one really expected LeBron James to take his talents to South Beach in 2010, until he announced it to the world. The same could be said about his move back to Cleveland; it caught many by surprise.

Could he do the same this summer? Sure. And if he does change uniforms, you can bet it’s going to be something that goes against mainstream, because that’s who LeBron has been throughout his career.

The bottom line is that the Philadelphia 76ers, whether the national media gives them a shot or not, is going to be one of the teams that pushes the hardest for LeBron James. And with the young talent that they’ve compiled over the last few years, why wouldn’t – or shouldn’t – LeBron choose Philadelphia?
