LeBron James loves playing the mind games, and it appears he is once again playing it to his advantage after Philadelphia 76ers fans put up billboards in Cleveland
LeBron James knows he’s about four months from being the most powerful man in the NBA again, and he’s using every weapon to his advantage until then.
Yesterday, it was reported that a Philadelphia-based company bought advertising on three billboards in Cleveland, to send a messge to LeBron James and the Cleveland Cavaliers. That message, in short, “We Want LeBron.”
LeBron’s response to it is pretty much everything you’d expect it to be, especially if you know LeBron James. It was simple, yet thought out.

LeBron would go on to say that he thinks it’s cool that he’s 33 and there are fans from other cities that still want him to play for their teams. But what LeBron James is really saying is not that benign.
This is classic LeBron, acknowledging something that he really doesn’t have to. And in the past, probably doesn’t. But because he’s a couple months away from being a free agent – and the most powerful man in the NBA – he’s using this as a way to send a message.
Predictably, to the Cleveland Cavaliers.
LeBron is essentially saying that he’s open to listen, even to the Philadelphia 76ers, who many are quick to overlook when it comes to the LeBron sweepstakes.
If the Cavs don’t make the right moves, or take LeBron’s opinion – which they may or may not be doing at this point, depending on who you’re willing to believe – he’s going to take this free agent thing to heart.

I still believe that the Cavs are the favorite to sign LeBron this summer. Although, nothing that LeBron does will ever surprise me. Not after what he did in 2010.
