NBA Rumors: LeBron James to the Sixers is gaining more traction, as he may or may not have visited Philadelphia private schools
A few days ago, it was reported that a Philly-based company had bought ad time on three billboards in Cleveland which basically sent the message of “sign with the 76ers” to LeBron and Cavs fans.
But, for the most part, this is the typical innocent recruiting pitch, one that usually falls on deaf ears – especially in February. However, to add fuel to the fire, this storyline doesn’t end there.
According to a report from NBC Sports Philadelphia, LeBron James reportedly visited some private schools in Philadelphia during the NBA All-Star break.

Perhaps this is a mutual interest thing after all?
"[via NBC Sports Philadelphia]“I’ve told this to a few other people, and I have no problem saying this, my brother lives in the Philadelphia area and he told me that LeBron, last week through a superintendent, was in the area checking out some private schools during the All-Star break,” Abdelnaby said."
As is often the case at this point in the year, this report should be taken with a grain of salt. We’re getting close to smokescreen season, and NBA free agency is just a few months away.
These types of stories, especially ones that feature LeBron James, are only going to multiply over the new few months. We must be vigilante in what we take as gospel and what we take as a funny tidbit that we’ll all probably laugh about after LeBron ultimately comes to his free agency decision.
At the same time, that doesn’t mean we shouldn’t take this story as holding any truth. I mean, this report could in fact be true. It could also have nothing to do with LeBron’s upcoming free agency.

Make no mistake, the Philadelphia 76ers are quickly becoming a bigger and bigger threat to snag LeBron James away from the Cleveland Cavaliers this summer. Oh, and we haven’t even gotten to the end of the season yet.
