Russell Westbrook vs. Stephen Curry

Expect a high scoring output from both players, and maybe even some historic totals. I like Curry in this matchup a bit more, but you really never know with Russell.

Paul George vs. Kevin Durant

This will be a lot of fun to watch, both are predicted to be front-runners for DPOY (Defensive Player of the Year). Also, they are both two of the best offensive players in the league.

Carmelo Anthony vs. Klay Thompson

The Warriors may put Curry on Melo, I just don’t think Golden State should underrate playoff Melo when he has a chance to get a ring. This would be a fun match up for Klay, even if they end up using Westbrook on him.

More from Sir Charles In Charge

Josh Huestis vs. Draymond Green

This is where the addition of Tony Allen or Corey Brewer would come in handy for the OKC Thunder, we’ll see if they make moves on either of those two.

For now, Huestis is out of his league, but he’s not a bad defender by any means. Expect a big showing from Mr. Suspension himself, Draymond Green.

Steven Adams vs. Zaza Pachulia

If I was Zaza I wouldn’t mess with anyone on the Thunder again, you don’t want to deal with Steven Adams.

Unless your LeBron.

That dude is so nice and scary and the same time, also expect Steven Adams to help on the Draymond front too.

As for the bench, it’s pretty even. I would give the edge to the Thunder.

As for home court advantage, both Oklahoma City and Golden State seem aesthetically equal in terms of difficulty playing at their respective arenas.

Overall, the only way the Thunder can win is to stop Curry and Durant, therefore letting Draymond and Klay try their best to win the game.

Which they have obviously done.

I’m not going to make my predictions for the playoffs yet, but my best bet are the Thunder to beat the Warriors in the West.

As for the East, I’m positive you’ll think this is a hotter take.
