23 and younger: The top of the NBA’s bright future

5. Nikola Jokic, Denver Nuggets

The Joker (My personal favorite NBA nickname right there with Goran Dragic “The Dragon”). This guy makes some terrific passes, he may even be the best point guard on his team.

Actually, he most definitely is.

The one downside of Jokic is that he is timid enough to quietly fall out of the offense. The vast amount of upsides the Joker has overrules that downside, so he’s fun regardless.

Not an exact replica, but Chris Webber would be a really fun addition to today’s NBA, which I can see in the Joker.

There’s no question that Jokic is only beginning to scratch the surface on the player he can be.
