23 and younger: The top of the NBA’s bright future
By Trey Flynn
20. Rondae Hollis-Jefferson, Brooklyn Nets
This guy deserves to be on a better team.
If you’ve watched the Brooklyn Nets play, you can tell that Rondae Hollis-Jefferson can do a lot of things that guys like Jaylen Brown and Donovan Mitchell can do from a defensive standpoint.
Offensively, this guy has a lot to prove over the next few years. At times, he does the LeBron James bully ball technique, and that works just fine.
His player comp is a really good young James Johnson, or a high comp like Draymond Green. He could also turn out like Wilson Chandler, depending on how he does offensively.
So far, Hollis-Jefferson is one of the harder comps. Brooklyn has five really great young assets in Hollis-Jefferson, D’angelo Russell, Caris LaVert, Spencer Dinwiddie, and Jarrett Allen.
