23 and younger: The top of the NBA’s bright future

18. Jayson Tatum, Boston Celtics

Celtics fans = triggered.

Boston has a really good young player in Jayson Tatum, the problem is …he’s not as good as Boston thinks.

Don’t get me wrong, he has a ton of upside and his ceiling is pretty high.

I see more of a Zach LaVine in this player than I do a hall of famer, but I could totally be off and he could be a Klay Thompson type of 2-way player. Either way, the best fit for Tatum was the Celtics. There’s no arguing that at this point.

They are a contender with him on the team, so does his comp really matter? Both he and the Boston Celtics are really good.
