20. Charlotte Hornets (30-40)

When this season is all said and done, the Charlotte Hornets will have some big questions on their hands entering the summer. And I’m not just talking about the Kemba Walker question.

While that will likely be the driving narrative this summer for Michael Jordan‘s bunch, there are a number of other key issues that will need to be addressed too. And plenty of them have to do with the direction of the entire franchise, not just this core.

They are locked in to big contracts for the next few years, and will likely be unable to move said contracts unless they attach assets to them. Assuming they won’t be willing to just blow it all up – because they had a chance to do that at the NBA trade deadline and decided not to – it appears that the Hornets will ride out the storm for awhile. Next summer is when it gets really fun for Hornets fans.
