2018 NBA Draft: Every lottery team’s dream first-round selection

6. Cleveland Cavaliers (via Brooklyn)

Biggest Need: Wings 

Dream Selection: Michael Porter Jr., F 

For the Cleveland Cavaliers, this gets a bit tricky. However, to make things a bit easier, I’m going to assume that their roster is going to remain relatively the same heading into next season. That means no Kevin Love trade and LeBron James will re-sign.

This is where Michael Porter could excel. He wouldn’t be asked to be their best player from Day 1, and could learn under the tutelage of LeBron James. He would also help this team’s athleticism and youth tremendously.

Porter’s potential really is limitless, and hopefully his injury is a thing of the past. It’s a risk, but one that could pay off for the Cavs moving forward.
