NBA: The top 10 role players of the 2017-18 season
By Codi Benner
4. Julius Randle, Los Angeles Lakers
Stats: 16.1 PPG, 7.9 RPG
Julius Randle has been playing a little bit better than a typical role player recently. However, throughout the majority of the season, he was viewed as a backup center/power forward.
He is good at the pick-and-roll defense and be able to defend perimeter players. On offense, he is a very good low post player and is also very disciplined on offense. He is averaging 16 points and eight rebounds per game.
Randle is still a relatively young player and is just beginning to scratch the surface on his potential. He has a lot of room to grow as a player moving forward.
