NBA Rumors: Warriors’ Klay Thompson likely to return vs. Kings
NBA Rumors: Golden State Warriors guard Klay Thompson is expected to return to the team’s lineup Saturday against the Sacramento Kings
The Golden State Warriors may be without Stephen Curry for the foreseeable future, but they’re about to get some reinforcements in the way of Klay Thompson.
Kevin Durant also returned to the team’s lineup Thursday against the Milwaukee Bucks.
Thompson is officially listed as “probable” for the team’s clash with the Sacramento Kings Saturday night, but is expected to play. Thompson has missed a little more than two weeks with his fractured right thumb.

"[via SF Gate]Warriors guard Klay Thompson said he is probable to return Saturday in Sacramento from a fractured right thumb that has sidelined him eight games."
During his absence, the Warriors were 3-5. During that stretch, though, it should be noted that the Warriors were without both Stephen Curry and Kevin Durant. Going 3-5 doesn’t look that bad, considering they were without three of their top players.
Most teams would probably go 0-8 under those circumstances.
There are two weeks remaining in the NBA’s regular season, and the Warriors are locked into the second seed in the West. Meaning, there’s really not much for them to be playing for at the moment.
Golden State should be trying to get healthy, and that’s exactly what they’ve been doing during the last few days. With Durant and Thompson back in the fold, all that’s left for the Warriors to focus on is the playoffs.

Curry likely will be out for the first round of the postseason, give or take, and there’s really no point in hoping for him to be back before. If he comes back, great. But the Warriors should assume that this is the team that they’re going into battle with for, at least, the next month or so.
