J.B. Bickerstaff, Memphis Grizzlies

Seat Temperature: Hot, getting warmer

The Memphis Grizzlies fired Dave Fizdale on a sour note. Interim head coach J.B. Bickerstaff has done an okay job with this team, but, in fairness, the team has been in tank mode for the better part of the season.

Marc Gasol shouldn’t be a No. 1 option on any team; he’s a good second or third option player. Certainly, the team could have a quick turnaround next season, but it may be better off for them to do a full rebuild. It is hard to imagine Bickerstaff being with this team after this season, but who knows.

There have been rumors that the whole locker room doesn’t have faith in the current front office. Also, the Grizzlies have gone through four coaches in the last six years, which does not show stability in a franchise or have patience with a new coach.
