Seat Temperature: Cool, but on alert

The Denver Nuggets are closing the season as an underperforming team, which is a severe disappointment since this is a very good young team. The team needed to improve and make the playoffs this season, however their chances look like its slim to none.

Sure, the Nuggets have had the injury bug earlier in the season. But the Nuggets lost a few games that should have been winnable. In January, they lost to the Kings, Suns, and Hawks, which are all have one of the worst records in the NBA.

If the Nuggets do squeak in the playoffs Malones job would be safe. But with them on the outside looking in when it comes to playoff hopes, a coaching change may be needed.
