NBA: 7 most improved players from the 2017-18 season
By Codi Benner
3. Andre Drummond, Detroit Pistons
2016-17 Stats: 38.6 FT%, 1.1 APG
2017-18 Stats: 61.8 FT%, 3.0 APG
Andre Drummond’s offensive game went to a whole other level this season. He has been passing the ball more this season since they have him out towards the perimeter.
Also, his free throw shooting has improved from horrendous to a little below average. His offensive rating is currently the highest of his career. If the Pistons had more offense around him, he would have an even higher offensive rating, if he continues to improve on his free throws and to passing he could be in the conversation for one of the top big men in the NBA.
Coupled with Blake Griffin, it’s going to be interesting to see Drummond continued development.
