NBA: 7 most improved players from the 2017-18 season
By Codi Benner
7. Fred VanVleet, Toronto Raptors
2016-17 Stats: 2.9 PPG, 0.9 APG
2017-18 Stats: 8.0 PPG, 3.2 APG
Fred VanVleet just fell into the Toronto Raptors’ laps. He has been an excellent bench player for them all season long.
Not to often a team can find a gem that went undrafted. VanVleet only played 37 games last season averaging eight minutes per game, to currently played 72 games this season and averaging 20 minutes a game.
He has also been playing a lot during crunch time and also making plays for the Raptors. He is their go-to player on the bench, and it will be interesting to see if he can carry this play over into the postseason.
