Philadelphia 76ers: 4 things we learned from The Process
By Julian Green
Fans will continue to support the team
This was one of the biggest questions the media had when Hinkie and the Sixers launched this plan. Real fans of established franchises support teams through the good and the bad. The Sixers were going to be the test case for a franchise that was telling its fans that they were going to try and lose on purpose, in the name of winning.
Sixer fans may have actually grown closer during this whole ordeal.
Over the last 5 years, all Sixer fans have spent time banning together to defend the organizations tactics. “Trust The Process” became almost a rallying cry of sorts and now it is something that Sixer fans are proud of. It is easy to be satisfied when your team has two potential hall-of-famers, but during the process it never felt like the team was close to losing its core fan base. Now that it has all worked out, Sixer fans are almost arrogant with there affection with the current roster…. I would be too.
