Ultimately, the process was a success

Winning 47 games out of a possible 246 does not sound like a success, but that statement must be framed properly. Take a look at the win totals for some other teams during that 3 year stretch: Magic-83, Suns-110, Kings-90, Lakers-64.

So, on average, each of those teams won about 10 games more per year than the 76ers. Now here is the win totals for each team this year: 76ers-48, Magic-24,Suns-20, Kings-25, Lakers-34.

Sacrificing 10 wins a year to put yourself in position to consistently be a title contender seems like an easy choice, especially when you consider those teams winning 10 more games were and are currently nowhere near title contention.

Those teams usually picked between 4-7, instead of 1-3 like the Sixers. After five years of controversy and losing “The Process” is finally complete, and its seems like it was well worth the wait.
