Indiana Pacers

The Indiana Pacers are one of the most interesting teams this season that nobody is talking about. The Pacers seemed destined to be a lottery team when Paul George was traded away to Oklahoma City last offseason.

This was far from the truth.

In return for Paul George, the Pacers received Victor Oladipo and Domantas Sabonis. Victor Oladipo turned into the star that the Pacers were hoping for. Oladipo is averaging 23 points per game this season and has been the number one option for the Pacers all season long.

Victor Oladipo will probably end up winning the most improved player award this season. So even though the Pacers gave up their franchise player, they might’ve gotten one back in return.

The Pacers are 48-33 this season, which is a better record by far than last season with Paul George. Nobody really expected the Pacers to improve this season, especially by as much as they did.

They’ll end up playing either the Philadelphia 76ers or Cleveland Cavaliers in the first round, so they have their work cut out for them. However, even a first-round exit is miles ahead of where it was thought they would be.
