Andre Drummond (Rap Name: Dre Drumm)

Highlight Track: “No Scrubs Cover”

It caught me completely by surprise that Drummond was rapping and when I went to look up his music on Youtube, I could only really find one clip of him doing so but boy, does it not disappoint. The clip features a white kid, who looks like Ryan Sheckler, rapping for a moment then handing Drummond, what looks to be a Go-Pro. From there Drummond introduces himself to the rap world with lines like,

“Rich n***a joggin, opposite of bargain, b*****s give me noggin, while I’m parallel Parkin” & “word to my accountant doing numbers like an auction/boy you f****n with the squad gon’ make my thing (pew, pew) get to sparkin”

I will admit that his flow is completely in the pocket and often had my head nodding, but listening to Drummond talk about shooting someone who is messing with his friends and having a girl fellate him while he is parallel parking his car is laughable and cringe-worthy at best.

I did a little more digging and found his Soundcloud page under his artist name, “Dre Drumm.” He has a few tracks on there and his freestyle over TLC’s classic “No Scrubs” isn’t too terrible. I don’t know about a future career in music for Andre Drummond, but he should work on his free throws before he takes on rapping.
