Cleveland Cavaliers – Tyronn Lue

Tyronn Lue is a championship coach that helped coach a team back from a 3-1 deficit against a 73-9 Warriors team in the NBA Finals.

All jokes about LeBron being coach aside, Coach Lue was able to transform an out of shape Cavs team under David Blatt, to a championship squad.

It’€™s also commendable that Ty Lue managed to steer the dysfunctional team into clearer waters. LeBron overshadows whatever Tyronn Lue has done behind the scenes, so he isn’€™t as praised, but he should get some credit. Any other team would love to have a guy like Ty Lue coach their team.

Now the question becomes: do the Cavs appreciate all Lue has done? If the Cavs don’t get to the Finals this year, and if LeBron doesn’t come back to play for Cleveland, will the Cavaliers management keep Lue on board.

Could Kobi Altman and Dan Gilbert opt to give Larry Drew a chance? After all, while Lue was away, Larry Drew did well in the interim.

However, saying the Cavs were better off without Coach Lue is like saying the Wizards are better off without John Wall.

Tyronn Lue has the respect of his players. When asked on Lue’€™s absence, LeBron James compared it to losing one of your best players.

Coach Lue is safe.
