Detroit Pistons – Stan Van Gundy

Stan Van Gundy’€™s job would’ve been in jeopardy, until the Pistons traded for Blake Griffin.

Griffins arrival has essentially extended Van Gundy’s tenure as the head coach in Detroit. What this team lacked during the regular season can be excused by lack of time together as a unit.

The theory is: give Reggie Jackson, Andre Drummond, and Blake Griffin an offseason and a training camp, and they will be playoff contenders.

It also doesn’€™t hurt that Stan is also President of Basketball Operations. If the firing is made, it needs to be done by the owner. So for Detroit, it’s a wait a see scenario.
