14. Denver Nuggets – Zhaire Smith, G/F, Texas Tech

The Denver Nuggets likely won’t be able to afford Will Barton this summer, especially if they plan on extending Nikola Jokic. In this case, it would prudent of the Nuggets to prepare for such case. And at 14, the Nuggets will have plenty of options.

Going Zhaire Smith here is a bet on his upside. Smith had flashes during his time at Texas Tech, but didn’t exactly hold a big role on the team.

It’s difficult to try and forecast the type of player he’ll be at the NBA level, but the talent is definitely there.
