NBA Rumors: Stephen Curry is officially probably to play in the team’s Game 2 against the New Orleans Pelicans

Through six games in the 2018 NBA Playoffs, the Golden State Warriors have lost one game without Stephen Curry. They currently hold a 1-0 series lead over the New Orleans Pelicans in their Western Conference Semifinals matchup.

But it appears that Steph Curry will be back the next time the Warriors take the court. According to the Warriors, Curry is officially listed as probable for Game 2.

Many expected for Curry to make his return in Game 1 against the Pelicans, but the training staff elected to play it safe and give the knee a few more days to recover.

More from Sir Charles In Charge

Turns out, it wasn’t a terrible move as the Warriors had little trouble with the Pelicans in Game 1. From the opening tip, the Warriors ran New Orleans out of the gym.

Which is even more impressive considering the Pelicans were fresh off a clean sweep of the Portland Trail Blazers to open the postseason.

Curry has been out of the lineup since March 23, when he suffered what was later diagnosed as a Grade 2 MCL sprain.

He has missed well over a month, and it seems he’s given more than enough time for the knee to recuperate. Now, it’s going to be the rust that Curry will have to worry about. The last time Curry returned from a similar type injury – two years ago in the playoffs – he had his struggles when he returned.

Often times, he looked a step slow and had trouble with his quickness at times.

That could be the reason why he has sat out for an extended amount of time. Two years ago, he only sat out a couple weeks. He’s doubled that with this injury.

We should find out soon enough, however. Stephen Curry appears back and ready for action.
