2018 NBA Draft Prospect Rankings: Mo Bamba rises, Luka Doncic falling?
7. Mikal Bridges, F, Villanova
I’m a big fan of Mikal Bridges, mostly because of his ability to be effective even without the ball in his hands. That’s exactly the story of him this past season with the Villanova Wildcats.
Jalen Brunson won the National Player of the Year award and dominated the ball on offense, but it was Bridges that averaged 18 points per game on nearly 44 percent shooting from 3-point range. Defense is something that he needs to work on, but at 6-foot-6, he has all the ability to grow into that role at the next level.
Bridges is the type of player that will excel as being a great supporting piece.
