2018 NBA Draft: Hands, Porter, Battle pull out of draft to return to school
Jontay Porter, Missouri, Returning For Sophomore Year
Unlike his brother Michael Porter Jr., Jontay Porter has withdrawn from the NBA Draft. In his freshman season Porter averaged 9.9 points and 6.8 rebounds per game. After reclassifying in August to play with his brother, the 18-year-old does not lose anything by withdrawing.
Early reports had Porter projecting as a late first-early second round pick. Porter played a key role for Missouri in their run to this years’ National Championship Tournament. With one year of College Basketball under his belt, Porter certainly has an advantage over the rest of his original freshman class.
