2018 NBA Draft: Hands, Porter, Battle pull out of draft to return to school

Udoka Azubuike, Kansas, Returning For Junior Season

Udoka Azubuike is coming back to Kansas. The 7-foot big man announced Wednesday that he would be returning for his junior season.

Azubuike averaged 13 points and seven rebounds this past season. The 18-year-old shot 77 percent from the field which, was a school record. Azubuike played a key role in Kansas’ march to the Final Four just months ago.

In two scrimmages at the NBA Combine he scored 27 points and added two rebounds. Kansas’ towering big had been projected as a late-first or early second-round pick. He also participated in a pre-draft workout with the Los Angeles Lakers.
