Cleveland Cavaliers’ J.R. Smith has given us many moments to ponder and chuckle at in his 14-year career. Let’s take a look back at the five best

I’m assuming that everyone who reads this blog was watching game one of the NBA Finals last week so I am not going to recount moment-by-moment the last four seconds of that game.

If you weren’t watching, you missed one of the most infamous moments in NBA Finals history. J.R. Smith dribbled out a clock with the game tied. For someone who is incredibly unapologetic for being himself, J.R. Smith copped to it immediately when LeBron almost assuredly asked him “What the f^#* are you doing?!” And J.R. seemed to mouth, “I thought we were ahead.”

In Smith’s 14-year career he has become a lot of things. He has been an athletic two-way guard, semi-reliable veteran, champion and is top 12 all time in 3’s made for his career. Despite these accomplishments, he will never be remembered for his on-court play. He will be remembered, in this day-in-age, for the endless Twitter moments he has given us. The squinting memes, the gifs of him untying shoes (more on that later) and the various pictures of him with a photo-shopped bottles of Hennessy or a blunt.

All funny, but it’s a little sad to see a guy’s career come down to th- nah I’m kidding. I’ve made just as many J.R. meme’s. He deserves all of it, especially after game one. Inexcusable basketball I.Q. decisions deserve endless roasts. Let’s roast some more of his behavior throughout his career, shall we?
