4. DeMarcus Cousins, Unrestricted

Stats: 25.2 ppg, 12.9 rpg, 5.4 apg

The only reason why DeMarcus Cousins isn’t higher on this list is because of the unfortunate injury that he suffered just before the NBA playoff push. If he was fully healthy, he would probably be No. 3.

But we’ll play the caution game with him until he can prove that he’s still able to perform at a high level. Cousins is going to command a max contract on the open market. Question is, will he receive a max contract offer from the New Orleans Pelicans?

If they decide they could allocate that money elsewhere, while also being more efficient, it would likely open the door for a potential sign-and-trade.
