Dallas Mavericks

Biggest Priority: Securing DeMarcus Cousins

I’m not going to beat around the bush here. The Dallas Mavericks have been in the market for a dominant big for the past few offseaons and have fallen flat on their face time and time again. From missing out on DeAndre Jordan to Hassan Whiteside, the Mavs have whiffed during the last few offseasons.

But, being one of the few teams with the necessary cap space to sign a max player, the Mavs need to take full advantage of that. And DeMarcus Cousins should be their target here.

Adding a player of Cousins’ caliber, even with the risk that comes with signing him after his major injury, would bring Dallas back to NBA relevance.
