5. Dallas Mavericks – Michael Porter Jr., F, Missouri

Assuming that there are no red flags between now and NBA Draft day, I fully expect Michael Porter Jr. to go much higher than he is on most NBA mocks. With that said, this might still be a little too high. This is just my gut feeling.

I think Michael Porter Jr. could be the heir apparent to Dirk Nowitzki if he can live up to his potential and ceiling. He’s that good.

The health is a bit of a concern and a risk, especially at No. 5. But the Mavs aren’t a team that plays it safe. They like the risk, and embrace it to a certain extent.
