2018 NBA Mock Draft 7.0: LA Clippers trade up, Bulls get a steal at No. 7

8. Cleveland Cavaliers – Wendell Carter, F/C, Duke

Wendell Carter could be the best top 10 prospect that is getting the least amount of press. He’s a 6-foot-10 big that can rebound well, protect the paint and stretch the defense with a silky-smooth looking deep jumper.

He’s not as flashy as some of the other prospects on this list, but he gets the job done and player well during his lone season at Duke.

If the Cavs are looking for the best player at No. 8, and don’t want to take a blind stab at one of the Bridges’ or a point guard that probably shouldn’t be drafted in the top 8, Carter should be the selection.
