As the 2018 NBA Draft approaches, here are 8 bold predictions for what is expected to be a wild night

The official start of the 2018-19 NBA regular season is still a few months away, but the season pretty much begins as soon as the NBA Draft gets here. So, in a way, we’ve made it through the slow part of the offseason.

The action starts now, beginning with the 2018 NBA Draft. It’s a night where the NBA will absorb new stars – and potential superstars. Teams are filled with hope that they’ve landed the next face of their franchise, and everyone has hope again.

But it’s not even just the draft that makes the night memorable. More often than night, the draft is a night when teams could make big splashes that, at times, have nothing to do with the draft.

Last season, that was exemplified by the Chicago Bulls trading Jimmy Butler to the Minnesota Timberwolves. This year, we could see something similar as a few big names have already been rumored to be on the trade block.

Will the Cleveland Cavaliers make a deal to try and appeal to LeBron James? Will the San Antonio Spurs finally give in and move Kawhi Leonard? Will there be a third team out there that will catch everyone off guard?
