The Los Angeles Clippers will trade up

The Los Angeles Clippers are one of the teams that will be able to move up if they want. They own two late lottery picks – No. 12 and 13 – and could be ideal trade partners for any team that is picking late in the top 10, should they want to exchange that pick for an additional asset.

If it comes to the point where a prospect that the Clippers love falls to 7 or 8 or 9, LA could offer up their two late lottery picks to move up for their guy. Or, they could even attach one of their rotation players to those two picks in an attempt to move even further up, perhaps even into the top 5?

I believe the Clippers could be eyeing one of the top point guard prospects if they attempt to move up. Either Collin Sexton or Trae Young could be in place if they fall out of the top 7 or 8. It’s no guarantee that the Clippers make a move, but they will definitely have options.
